A firm known as Kingsperp mining limited has rejected claims that it is illegally operating a mining business in Ghana.
The firm has been accused of illegally undertaking gold mining activities in the parts of the country.
But the firm insists that it has acquired all the necessary documentation and licenses from required government institutions including the Lands Ministry as well as the Environmental Protection Agency to undertake “Gold mining Activities in Oda River Forest reserve near Aboaboso in Bekwai Forest District in the Ashanti Region and not Western Region as purported”.
“The Company has accordingly signed the Mining Lease Agreement with the Ministry of Lands and Forestry under Honorable Kweku Asuma Cheremeh,” a statement signed by Murtala Mohammed, Public Relations Officer of Kingsperp explained.
“We are herewith informing the general public that, there is nothing illegal about the activities of Kingsperp Company Limited.”
The claims against the company were made in a Joy News report.
