Western North Regional Minister, Richard Obeng says he will do all he can to bring development to the newly created Region.
Mr. Obeng who took over as the administrative head of the region on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, said he has plans and programs geared towards the transformation of the region.
“I have come here to do my best to develop this region, with all the resources we have here and with your support we can achieve the President’s vision of developing the Western North Region.”
The handing over event which took place at the Regional Coordinating Council saw all MMDCEs, NPP Regional Executives, and staff of the Council present at the short ceremony.
Mr. Obeng added that “all he wants is unity, togetherness, and dedication to move this region forward”.
From the Regional Coordinating Council, the new Regional Minister and his team moved to the Palace of the Paramount Chief of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional area and a member of the Council of State, Nana katakyie Kwasi Bumakama II to officially introduce himself and his team.
Other dignitaries in attendance were the Western North Regional Chairman for the NPP, William Benjamin Assuah, Regional Coordinating Director, Amoako Kwarteng, all MMDCE’s in the region, and all unit and departmental heads of the RCC.
