A potential military recruit is currently in the grips of the police after he was found to have stolen a mobile phone belonging to another recruit at Burma Camp in Accra.
A report by Police in Accra said on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at about 3 pm, the suspect, Richard Kwadwo Nti was brought to the police station by a military police officer at Burma Camp.
The suspect was said to be a potential recruit who was undergoing documentation at Burman Camp together with others at the Garrison Presbyterian and Methodist Interdenominational Church auditorium when he took the phone.
During screening processes, he stole a Tecno mobile phone valued at GHS500 belonging to one Obedia Nketiah.
He was later discovered and sent to the police station.
Meanwhile, the phone has been retained for evidential purposes.

On 30/03/2021 at about 2200hrs the military police, Burma Camp arrested and brought to the station suspect Nti Kwadwo Richmond and reported that on the same day, at about 15.00hrs, the suspect was a recruit undergoing documentation process at Burma Camp.
That all the potential recruits were gathered in the garrison Presbyterian and Methodist interdenominational church auditorium for screening when the suspect stole a Techno Spark mobile phone valued at GHS500 belonging to one Nketiah Obedia who is also undergoing the recruitment process.
The blue Techno Spark 5 mobile phone retained for evidential purposes.
