In his remarks, the Founder and Chairman of the Ghana Charismatic Bishops Conference stated:
“That the Church of God will be built, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16.18). This building is to further God’s work in Ghana. I believe in the church being united and being together, and for that we need to remember that we all come from one source as Christians in Ghana, through our fathers the Presbyterians and the Catholics who brought Christianity to Ghanaian shores. Together, the Orthodox, Pentecostals, Charismatics, and the prophets have a role to contribute to the growth of the church, and its contribution to Ghana’s advancement”
The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, who cut the ribbon for the Makarios Towers’ opening said:
“I am very delighted to be here among all of us. I want to say one thing, that we all as leaders should encourage our members to ensure they participate in the upcoming census in the country. It is important that we all make sure we get counted.”
Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference
The Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference is a body of eminent clergy – bishops, prophets, reverend ministers, denominations of churches and individual churches. Indeed, the GCBC represents millions of Ghanaians both at home and in the diaspora.
As a body of the clergy, the Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference sees the needs of ordinary people across the nation and feels that it is their duty to present their observations to the Government.
These needs are those of ordinary people living in Ghana under the conditions created by successive governments.
They believe that by heeding the prophetic words from the Conference, Ghana will become a leading nation of the world, and achieve its potential of being a star of Africa and the world.
It has issued different communique over the past few years.
“History will bear record that, our proposals and prophetic words and concerns have come to pass exactly as we said”.
