Retired Apostle of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Francis Ofori-Yeboah, has launched his tenth book titled ‘Paul Writes to Timothy’ at the Church of Pentecost, Odorkor Central Assembly on June 28, 2021.
The book is a leadership training manual which is not only filled with good instructions for emerging leaders, but also lists the qualifications of a leader.
The much-anticipated book also brings to bear some practical lessons on mentorship which the Apostle received from some key leaders of the Church of Pentecost that helped him in his leadership position.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the book, Apostle Francis Ofori-Yeboah said, “The book was written to address some pertinent issues regarding the conduct of leaders and circular leaders so that they will go by the principles of the word of God in contemporary times”.
He further stated that though there are people who have genuine reasons to enter into ministry, they need mentors who have passed through the mills to mentor them and let them have a sense of direction.
Besides that, there is also the need for people within the church to have a handbook to address issues concerning church administration, leadership and various aspects as outlined in the word of God.
He said one thing that leaders should look out for when reading the book is character formation and conducting themselves in a manner that is calling for good and sound doctrine and practice.
This will give leaders and ministers the right and mandate to confront false teachers and handle church affairs.
The Managing Director of Pentecost Press, who was called to give a review of the book, opined that it is the writing of Paul to the Ephesus that equipped and energized timid Timothy and that the book should propel and awaken every leader who needs an awakening to lead or any individual preparing themselves to occupy a leadership role must have the book.
In attendance were dignitaries like the CEO of Tobinco, Elder Samuel Amo Tobbin, former General Secretary of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Rigwell Ato Addison, among many others.
This must-read book is available at Pentecost Press for purchase.
