Xodus Communications Limited has officially opened nominations for the 2021 ‘Forty under 40’ Awards.
The yearly awards seek to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of forty from a wide range of industries, who are committed to business growth, professional excellence, community service, and have risen through the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age.
Addressing the media at a press conference in Accra, Chief Executive Officer of Xodus Communications Limited, Richard Abbey Jnr. said, he believes that putting the spotlight on these young achievers will not only celebrate them but “also build a strong platform for them by giving a voice and opportunities to the next generation of industry pacesetters whiles building a positive attitude in our youth to strive for excellence at a tender age.”
He added that nominations are open till Friday, August 13, 2021.
The 5th edition of the Awards is slated for October 8, 2021, at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel.
The Awards is guided by a criterion glossary and nomination guidelines supervised by an eminent Awarding Board comprising; Professor David Atta Peters, Professor Essilfie Conduah, Dr. Ato Conduah, and Dr. Ken Kwaku.
“Our Awarding Board is seeking outstanding entrepreneurs, executives, managers, and professionals in the public, private and non-profit sectors, and will recognise attributes such as achievements in business, experience and innovation, vision, leadership, and community involvement. We aim to recognise and celebrate 40 emerging leaders under the age of 40 who demonstrate or impact personally/professionally through exceptional leadership”, he said.
Mr. Abbey added that the categories cover a wide range of sectors and industries, ranging from banking and finance, energy and renewable resources, family business, music and entertainment, community development, Architecture, theatre and arts, journalism, fashion, law, sports, event management, health, technology and innovation, agriculture and agro-processing, hospitality, health and wellness among others.
The Awards has become the benchmark for many young leaders in the past 5 years. Most winners and nominees have risen to the ranks as a result of the endorsement of their achievements by this rigorous and credible awarding scheme.
