The Member of Parliament for Bantama in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Francis Asenso-Boakye has donated one tablet each to the winners of the Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge in the constituency.
The donation was made on Monday, September 6, 2021, when the winners visited him in his constituency office.
The Bantama lawmaker also used the opportunity to encourage them to work harder to enable them to win the ultimate prize.
In a related development, the winners of the competition are expected to compete with winners from other constituencies in the Greater Kumasi Area in the coming days.
“I was fortunate to have, in my constituency office, the proud winners of the Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge in the Bantama Constituency.”
“Still preparing to compete with winners from other constituencies in the Greater Kumasi Area, I supported them with one tablet each and encouraged them to work even harder to enable them win the ultimate prize for Bantama Constituency,” Mr. Asenso-Boakye said in a post he made on Facebook.
About the Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge
The Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge is a reading competition in English and Twi, for basic schools in 60 communities in the Greater Kumasi Area, comprising 12 constituencies.
