The third day of the Effective Living Series focused on ‘Navigating your Personal Issues for Effective Living’ with, Maame Akua Gaisey, a Managing Partner and Five Six Five Ltd, talking about the importance of personal values.
“What you value is something you put your might and resources to. And what you value, you guard with your everything,” she said in her presentation.
Mrs. Gaisey noted that a clash of values as something to watch out for in one’s professional life.
“It [clash of values] is so bad that it can affect your mental health. It is so bad that it can affect your relationships.”
To live effectively, she said, “almost all aspects of your life are in tandem with your values.”
Mrs. Gaisey further stressed that effective living requires growth and that if individuals or organisations want to be noted for something, “you need to have clear-cut values.”
“You must know them by measuring them. You must work at them, and you must lead as a leader with clear values.”
