AzeAppSociety: Leading Ghana’s NFT ecosystem

AzeAppSociety is the first Ghanaian series of non-fungible token (NFT) collections, built on the Ethereum blockchain. It is a multipurpose platform where crypto enthusiasts and art connoisseurs can sell, purchase, and explore the NFT world with relative ease. The AzeAppSociety will also provide affluent young investors, seeking to diversify their portfolio, with an opportunity to acquire shares in bankable digital art.

In February 2022, inspired by the Tom and Oscar cartoon series, the AzeAppSociety presented an exotic 35-piece signature collection on Open Sea. The collection features a provocative mammoth-eyed creature with a kaleidoscope of personalities and salient visual attributes. The plot behind the collection is excessively eccentric: In the animated series, Tom and his alien posse join forces and nurture strong alliances to stop the malicious ambitions of their enemies.

The AzeAppSociety, as proponents of Pan-Africanism, are dedicated to the preservation of Ghana’s rich cultural heritage. The digital startup, through sensitization initiatives, targeted particularly at the creative arts and culture, has plans to build a sustainable NFT ecosystem and improve diversity within the sector.

Blockchain technology would certainly add commercial value to Ghana’s arts and culture, spinning digital illustrations into lucrative artworks. This would enable artists raise cash through alternative means and drive investment towards the market.

The NFT phenomenon supports the decades-long struggle to solve the puzzle of intellectual property. While digital art can be easily copied, this unique system arms each creation with a traceable code that affirms the authenticity of any digital asset.

Ghana, as far as the crypto space is concerned, certainly needs to get ahead of the curve and lead the emerging market on the African continent. Government, regulators and legislators must outline a clear sets of progressive rules which ensure digital assets can be patronized without any uneccessary hurdles. The new world order is based on the digital economy and it is important that we begin to wholly embrace it.
