Deputy Trade Minister and Member of Parliament for New Juaben, Michael Okyere Baafi has called young individuals to venture into entrepreneurship to complement Government’s effort towards addressing youth unemployment in the country.
Speaking at the Koforidua Technical University’s Faculty of Business and Management Studies’ Week Celebration under the theme “Advancing Entrepreneurship Education: Inspiring the Next Generation”, Mr. Baafi urged students to work towards becoming self-sufficient entrepreneurs who will create products that will efficiently address some of societies problems.
According to the 1st term Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, only government jobs cannot solve Ghana’s current unemployment concerns; there is a need to create and empower more entrepreneurs for more job creation.
Mr. Moses Okyere Baafi also emphasized the government’s innovative programs for providing integrated national support for start-ups and small businesses, as well as easy access to capital, technology, and skill development for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and urged young entrepreneurs to take advantage of such initiatives.
