The management of CalBank PLC has stressed the need for business owners to adopt energy-efficient and renewable resources to help ensure growth and sustenance of their businesses.
CalBank as part of its strategy to promote the agenda is thus offering support to such businesses financially through its green financing options available to customers.
It is also seeking to explore the benefits and the convenience of using the Ghana.gov payment channel on its digital channels.
As part of efforts to make the general public become aware of the initiative by the bank, the management of CalBank and Focus One are thus sensitizing the public on the need for them to understand the packages available.
Speaking to Citi News on the sidelines of Focus One CalBank Business Clinic, the Managing Director of CalBank PLC, Philip Owiredu called on the public to take advantage of the facility they are offering, since it is unique and also helps protect the environment.
“Now what we have done is to ensure that, we have partnered with multinationals to provide us with funding which through that, we can also provide funding to our clients based on terms and conditions, which are much more competitive than the usual market price. Through that partnership, we are also able to provide technical assistance to the clients who access these from there. We also do provide some sort of grants to customers who qualify for these funding, so at the end of the day, their cost of financing will be minimized.”
“As part of providing sustainable solutions to our clients, as an institution, we have signed up to sustainable development goals, and we have also signed up to the sustainable banking principles being promoted by the Central Bank and the Ghana Association of Bankers. So we have a responsibility to promote that green agenda. The sustainability agenda, as an institution, we support the global agenda of making sure that, we are able to sustain the earth”.
