The Chartered Institute of Realtors (CIR) was launched in Accra, Ghana on August 31, 2023. The launch was attended by the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, the Minister of Works and Housing, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and other dignitaries.
The CIR is a professional body that aims to promote the highest standards of practice in the real estate industry in Ghana. It will offer opportunities for sharpening the knowledge, skills, and standards of real estate practitioners to meet global standards.
In her speech at the launch, the Chief of Staff said that the CIR is a welcome initiative that will help to professionalize the real estate industry in Ghana. She noted that the real estate industry is a major driver of economic growth and that the CIR will play a key role in ensuring that the industry is well-regulated and that consumers are protected.
The Minister of Works and Housing also spoke at the launch and pledged the government’s support for the CIR. He said that the government is committed to providing affordable housing for all Ghanaians and that the CIR will play a key role in achieving this goal.
The CIR is a significant development for the real estate industry in Ghana. It is a sign of the growing maturity of the industry and the commitment of its stakeholders to raising standards. The CIR is expected to play a major role in promoting the growth and development of the real estate industry in Ghana.
The CIR which is affiliated with the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), which is the world’s leading real estate organization is also expected offer a variety of programs and services to its members, including training courses, professional development programs, and networking opportunities.
The Institute is being established to offer opportunities for sharpening the knowledge, skills, standards, and experiences of practitioners in the real estate industry to meet global standards.
As part of the vision and mission of the launch of the Chartered Institute of Realtors (CIR), the institute will be engaging in a progressive series of seminars and workshops that will see the involvement of seasoned speakers, lecturers, and industry professionals from acclaimed institutions worldwide bringing their knowledge and experience to bear.
