In a remarkable demonstration of  support and genuine compassion, Tecbuildtel Limited, a leading Ghanaian powerhouse specializing in Civil Engineering, Haulage, and Mining Support, has stepped forward by generously donating  to the Citi FM/TV #Relief4LowerVolta campaign

The company on Friday, 3rd November 2023 on Citi FM’s morning show, donated an amount of GH¢20,000 cedis to support persons in the lower Volta and other areas who are displaced as a result of the Akosombo Dam Spillage.

Present at the donation included; the company’s Finance Manager, John Agordey, Adminstrative and Marketing manager, Nicholas Agbenku and Office Manager, Abigail Ntumi.

Speaking on the #CitiCBS, some staff of Tecbuildtel in an interview explained that the donation formed part of the company’s social responsibility to help in bringing relief to affected flood victims.

Management of Citi FM/Citi TV on October 26, 2023, broke ground for its “OperationRebuild” initiative, which aims to build resettlement centers for people affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage.

Starting with the Torkpo community in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region, the first resettlement center will be located at a school in the area so that it can be converted back into classrooms after the floodwaters recede, and it is safe for the people to return to their homes.

Citi FM/TV has also cut sod to begin the construction of a new community at Bakpa Awadiwoe-Kome

Each structure will be a dormitory-style building that can accommodate at least 200 people and will include ancillary facilities such as washrooms.

The Akosombo Dam spillage has left many communities in dire need of essential supplies, shelter, and clean water.

Over 30,000 people have been displaced from their homes, and the situation is becoming increasingly dire by the day.
