Jurors at the Wa High Court in the Upper West Region say they are hopeful of receiving allowances owed them this week.
The group, numbering about 25, boycotted court sittings in July following the failure of the government to release funds for onward disbursement to members.
In an interview with Citi News, the foreman general of the group, Sulemana Abdul Hakeem, said discussions so far show a positive signal of his members receiving the arrears soon.
“The accountant called and said they had called him to come to Accra for the cheque so we are waiting to see if the actual payment has been done and the administrator also called and informed me that there is a signal of payment but we are still on strike.”
