Donewell Insurance unveils ESI DONEWELL for effortless insurance purchase

In an innovative move, Ghana’s trusted insurance brand; Donewell Insurance Ltd has unveiled a new, fast and easy to use digital insurance distribution channel allowing customers to effortlessly purchase and renew motor insurance policies directly through WhatsApp.

Named “ESI DONEWELL”, the WhatsApp Chatbot is a user friendly interface that will enable both agents and individuals to conveniently purchase motor insurance policies directly through the WhatsApp number 0501687806. Additionally, ESI DONEWELL is able to provide instant information on insurance plans to clients, provide instant quotes and complete the insurance purchase process entirely without being limited by time or location. Whether weekend, holiday, midnight or abroad, insurance can be purchased without limitations.

Speaking at the launch of ESI DONEWELL, Seth Aklasi, CEO of Donewell Insurance and president of the Ghana Insurers Association expressed his excitement about the innovative platform, highlighting its potential to redefine the customer experience in the insurance industry. He noted, however, that beyond convenience, his company seeks to deliver actual value to consumers with the goal of changing the narrative on motor insurance, where some users acquire vehicle insurance because it is required by law and also to avoid police arrests. “That is where we want to get to; providing solutions. Consumers should realize the value of insurance they buy and that is what as insurers, we should begin to focus on”, he said.

Cecilia Bruce, Head of Marketing and Business Development shared further updates conceptualized to be included to ESI DONEWELL’s features after roll out. These include filing claims and upload of required documents, voice and speech recognition and a personal accident policy aimed at enhancing value for consumers.

On her part, Sandra A. Amewolah; Head of Digital Marketing at Donewell Insurance assured consumers of absolute customer support and added that the interface is connected to the Motor Insurance Database (MID) therefore every insurance bought via the channel automatically spools the sticker from the MID validating its authenticity.   “The interface is seamless, user friendly and is also able to provide that support you need just in case you face challenges. It is connected to our customer service unit and contact center therefore we have a team ready to address queries or concerns that may arise”, she said.

Donewell Insurance Ltd.’s decision to integrate a WhatsApp bot into its digital channels of distribution is an initiative to provide customers with a convenient and efficient means of acquiring motor insurance policies.
