Ghana on Wednesday marked its 67th Independence Day in Koforidua, Eastern Region, with Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara in attendance alongside President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Speaker of Parliament, and various diplomats.

The celebration, themed “Our Democracy Our Pride,” took place at the newly commissioned 5,000-seater Koforidua Youth Resource Center.

The event also saw commemorations in selected municipalities in Accra, such as the march in the Korley Klottey Municipality, hosted at the prestigious Accra High School.

The day’s festivities symbolized a significant moment of national pride and unity.

The event was marked by a lively atmosphere, with a notable lineup of participants. This includes nine Public and Private Basic Schools, as well as three leading Senior High Schools within the Municipality.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of several distinguished figures. Among them are the Municipal Chief Executive, the MP for Korley Klottey, Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings, and the Regional Minister Designate, Titus Glover, along with a host of other respected dignitaries.

As the excitement mounts, the parade inspection is currently in progress. This sets the stage for the delivery of inspiring Independence Day speeches by the esteemed guests.
