Popular Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has expressed her deep sorrow over the death of 64-year-old legendary Highlife musician Kwabena Kwakye Kabobo better known as  KK Kabobo.

Kabobo succumbed to liver disease at the University of Ghana Medical Facility despite receiving treatment and financial support on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Numerous well-wishers visited him during his illness, including former president John Dramani Mahama and Shay herself, who donated 10,000 Ghanaian cedis towards his care.

The news of Kabobo’s passing has left Wendy Shay heartbroken. In a post on social media, the RuffTown Records signee said:

“The passing of legendary Highlife musician KK Kabobo breaks my heart…After visiting him, I was so hopeful for his recovery, but I woke up to this devastating news today. My condolences to his family. May he find eternal peace.”
