I have not received ₦1bn in royalties from Kizz Daniel’s ‘Buga’ – Tekno

Nigerian music star Tekno has reacted to the ongoing rumour that he received over N1bn in royalties from Kizz Daniel on the popular hit song “Buga.”

The rumours circulated that Tekno claimed Kizz Daniel gave him royalties totalling more than N1bn for their collaboration on “Buga.”

The report also claimed that Kizz Daniel sends him 50% of every revenue he generates from the song.

Reacting to the rumour in a post on X, Tekno hurled curses at whoever released what he dismissed as a fake interview.  “Him money no reach, anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama…#Talkingshit”

‘Buga’ was released on 3rd May 2022, it became the most popular song in Nigeria and was the most Shazamed song in the world when it was released
