Receiving the award, Emelia Gyasi, Marketing Manager for Twellium Industrial Company Limited expressed gratitude to the organizers and the GBA Committee for recognizing their hard work for the year under review. She lauded consumers for their loyalty and their confidence in the product while dedicating the award to the staff of Twellium Industrial Company Limited.

“On behalf of the management of Twellium Industrial Company Limited, I say thank you to all whose contributions have made this possible including the organizers and the esteemed awards committee. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team at Twellium Industrial Company Limited as well as our commitment to producing high-quality and innovative beverages. Our success would not be possible without the support of our customers, who have shown us time and again that they appreciate the quality and flavor of our beverages and have gone further to show solidarity by casting votes in our favour during the voting phase.  We are proud to have been able to serve the people of Ghana with our products, and we will continue to strive to meet their ever-evolving tastes and preferences.”

On his part, Chief Executive Officer for Global Media Alliance, Ernest Boateng congratulated Verna Purified Water for clinching the top honour, commending all stakeholders for their support.

He said: “Permit me to congratulate Twellium Industrial Company Limited for emerging winners of the Product of the Year category. As organizers, we would always be grateful to our stakeholders whose support makes it possible for us to reward excellence in our beverage industry. GBA has come a long way and has grown in varied facets by virtue of constant feedback from our stakeholders. The successes chalked over the years could not have been possible without the support of our stakeholders and industry players whose participation and interest in seeing that GBA grows on all levels.

The eighth edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards was organized with a special focus on developing players along the entire beverage value chain.  This paved the way for the inclusion of a first-ever bartenders’ masterclass in the scheme’s collection of activities littered along the path to the main event. Additionally, sustainability took center stage in the affairs of the scheme this year leading to the introduction of a new category-Sustainability Champion of the Year.

Since its inception, GBA has been crucial in highlighting the local beverage industry, promoting both domestic and foreign products, and encouraging small-scale beverage businesses in Ghana to participate.
