The Executive Director of Juspong Group Limited, Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, has announced plans to establish vehicle assembly plants in all 16 regions as part of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).
Juspong Group, a donor partner to the DRIP initiative, expressed excitement about the programme’s potential to drive economic growth.
Citing former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan during the launch of the DRIP, Dr Agyepong emphasised the importance of industrialisation in economic development.
He revealed that Juspong Group will establish vehicle assembly plants alongside sanitation and treatment parks in each region, starting with a sod-cutting ceremony by the end of the year.
To ensure the programme’s success, Juspong Group is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chinese partners and technical universities.
Additionally, 32 Chinese engineers have been in Ghana for the past two months as part of a warranty guarantee, providing technical support when needed.
