Alan Kyerematen, the founder and flagbearer of the Movement for Change, has touted his track record as evidence of his capability to effectively implement his policies and programmes if elected president.
On June 24, the former Trade Minister launched his “Great Transformational Plan (GTP),” which, according to him, is a blueprint for Ghana’s economic transformation and outlines robust policy prescriptions and practical steps towards building an enterprise economy in the country.
Alan Kyerematen, in an interview with Bernard Avle on the Citi Breakfast Show, cited his contributions during President Kufuor’s administration, particularly highlighting the Presidential Special Initiative as one of the most successful projects, showcasing his commitment not just to promises but to action and results.
“If you audit the background of the people who make claims that they can do A, B, C, and D, you will know those who have a record of execution and those who don’t, and my record is clear.
“I have a superlative record of performance and execution. During President Kufuor’s time, one of the most successful initiatives was the Presidential Special Initiative, and this is not just talking about it but execution,” he stated.
