There was massive gridlock on the Accra-Tema motorway following a devastating accident in the early hours of Friday following Friday, July 19.

A diesel fuel tanker and a sprinter bus collided Friday morning leaving a trail of destruction and stranded motorists in its wake.

According to eyewitnesses, the sprinter bus was mangled beyond recognition.

The accident occurred around 5:00 am when the roads were already congested with commuters heading to work.

Panic set in among motorists who were stuck in the gridlock, as some attempted to navigate through the chaos, but the roads were impassable.

After hours of chaos, the gridlock slowly eased, allowing motorists to continue their journey
