NAPO’s education achievements outshine Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s -Nana B

Henry Nana Boakye, National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), also known as Nana B, has lavished praise on Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

In a comparison with Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the running mate of John Dramani Mahama, Nana B asserted that NAPO’s achievements and qualities far surpass those of his counterpart, highlighting his exceptional credentials and strengths as a candidate.

Nana B emphasised NAPO’s exceptional leadership skills, which he believes will play a crucial role in securing a victorious outcome for Dr Bawumia in the 2024 general elections, leveraging NAPO’s strengths to bolster their ticket and ensure a resounding win.

“His sterling leadership style led to the implementation of the free SHS which saw an unprecedented turn up of students enrolling on the educational programme.

“He also handled the Energy sector with excellence and precision. This is the leadership NAPO brings to the table. Both running mates have been Education Ministers before but the laurels chalked by NAPO outnumber that of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang,” Nana B said on Peace FM.

Nana B defended Dr Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) against accusations of arrogance, explaining that his assertiveness has been misinterpreted.

He praised NAPO’s exceptional work ethic, which made him an outstanding Education Minister.

The NPP National Organiser also criticised the NDC’s flagbearer, John Mahama, for allegedly insulting Ghanaians more than any other leader, and dared the NDC to convene an emergency congress to replace Mahama if they truly believe NAPO is arrogant.

“I keep saying that NAPO’s boldness, assertiveness and confidence may be misconstrued as arrogance. No, he is just confident and bold. He has an excellent work ethic. His work ethics make him one of the best Education ministers Ghana has ever had.

“The NDC can never question NAPO’s competence. They can never question that he is not presentable. The only thing they can say about him is he is an arrogant man when they don’t get to agree with him on certain statements he makes.

“If that is what the NDC will base their judgment on, then they have to organise an emergency congress to select another flagbearer because former President John Mahama has insulted more Ghanaians than any other leader in the history of Ghana’s politics.”

Nana B’s remarks come in response to a statement made by Arko Gunn, Deputy Communications Director for the NDC, who had earlier asserted that NAPO’s alleged arrogance poses a significant challenge for the NPP. Nana B’s comments aimed to refute Gunn’s claims and defend NAPO’s character.
