The Concerned Chiefs of the North (CCN-Ghana) have voiced their outrage over the recent targeted killings in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region and the Bole District in the Savannah Region.

The chiefs condemned the brutal acts of violence that have claimed several lives, describing the incidents as senseless.

They extended their deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims and called on security agencies to step up their efforts to capture the culprits and ensure they face justice.

This was contained in a statement issued by the chiefs.

“We condemn in the strongest terms these senseless and brutal acts of violence that have resulted in the loss of precious lives. We express our heartfelt condolences to the families.”

CCN-Ghana urged the government to promptly and effectively address the security issues plaguing these regions to protect the citizens’ safety and well-being.

Additionally, they called on traditional leaders, religious figures, and civil society groups to collaborate in denouncing these crimes and fostering peace and unity within their communities.

“We urge the government to take immediate and decisive action to address the security concerns in these regions and ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens. We also call on the traditional authorities, religious leaders, and civil society organizations to join forces in condemning these heinous crimes and promoting peace and unity in our communities.”
