The Mines and Energy and the Lands and Forestry Committees of Parliament have recommended that the police continue probing the death of Numo Korletey Agormeh in the Sege feud.
A shooting incident in Sege in the Greater Accra Region in November last year left one person dead and several others injured.
The incident was reportedly rooted in a feud between ElectroChem Ghana Limited and residents of Ada.
Electrochem Ghana Limited denied any involvement in the shooting and condemned it in a statement, stating that it was awaiting the police to conduct an investigation into the shooting and report its findings accordingly.
The joint committee in its report on the Songor Salt Mining undertaking by ElectroChem Ghana Limited urged the police to continue investigating the death and prosecute the perpetrator(s).
“The police should continue with the investigation of the death of Numo Korletey Agormedah who was allegedly killed on the 6th day of November 2023 and prosecute the perpetrator(s) of the said crime,” it stated.
