The Tema Traditional Council has expressed gratitude to the Ghana Police Service (GPS) for maintaining peace in the Tema traditional area.
The traditional leaders have noted the effectiveness of the new regional commander, assigned to the area by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, in addressing security issues in the Tema region.
During a ceremony in Tema, where the IGP was visiting the traditional council on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Tema Mankralo Nii Adjetey Agbo expressed the community’s appreciation for the IGP’s leadership.
“Your humility and respect for both the old and young in society is commendable. We appreciate your leadership. The Commander you brought here has been very good and efficient in dealing with crimes in our communities.
“Because of you, Tema is safe, and we are grateful for your leadership,” the Mankralo said.
The IGP, in response, expressed his gratitude to the traditional leaders for their support and cooperation with the Police in combating crime nationwide.
He emphasised that the Police are public servants, and their duty is to serve the people to their satisfaction.
