A major traffic jam has developed on the Accra-Tema side of the motorway causing significant delays for drivers and commuters.

The gridlock has been attributed to a capsized trailer near the Ashaiman Presby Junction.

Eyewitnesses reported that the trailer overturned earlier in the day, and the ongoing efforts to remove the vehicle have been the primary cause of the traffic congestion.

In an interview with Citi News, several frustrated residents expressed concerns about the impact of the traffic on their work and daily routines.

They called on the relevant authorities to provide advance notice in such situations to help minimize disruptions.

Drivers and commuters are being advised to use alternative routes until the situation is resolved.
