COD Construction and Engineering CEO wins 2024 Entrepreneurial Icon of the Year Award

Ghana’s Most Respected Real Estate mogul and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of COD Construction and Engineering Limited, Cwesi Oteng Desmond has been adjudged Entrepreneurial Icon of the Year at the just-ended 2024 African Icon Awards held at the Merit House, Maitama, Abuja on Friday.

The significant achievement symbolises his outstanding contributions towards building the Real Estate industry and also authenticates his continuous growth and contribution to the African economies by ensuring timely access to quality services for both the public and private sectors with excellent management skills.

The 9th edition of the iconic awards scheme is an annual event dedicated to encouraging, appreciating, and honouring young and talented Africans who have excelled in various fields.

It also celebrates men and women from across the continent who demonstrate exceptional patriotism, excellence, leadership skills, and talents in areas such as civil governance, the entertainment industry, and technology, among others.

In a post-media interview, Cwesi Oteng Desmond said, the award is a testament to his unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to rigorous quality standards in the Real Estate industry.

According to him, the honour is a win for all his team members who work tirelessly to make sure they deliver precise planning with trusted delivery to guests and most especially, to his clients for their unflinching support always over the years.

“Winning this award for me speaks a lot more than just another personal achievement. For a company that’s just about eight years old, this is a strong indicator of the hard work, dedication, and passion of my incredible partners and team. This honour inspires us to continue pushing boundaries, creating more magic, fostering innovation, and contributing to the growth of our housing community. Special shouts and thanks to my partners from both local and abroad for being a worthy partner on this journey”, Cwesi noted with a smile.

Badamasi Sadiq Ibrahim, DG of Global Peace Advocacy and Empowerment Initiative; Mr. Izzul-Arab Garba Ibrahim, President of Gee-lec International Football Academy of Jos; Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor, MD/CEO of Reapfold Properties Ltd; Amb. Ayomikun Adebayo, CEO of Fab Realty and Tourism Ltd; Flemming Rontved, CEO of Face of Domak; and Hajiya Aisha Lami Abdulsalam, CEO of Avada Couture Academy, Abuja, among several others from across Africa.

About Cwesi Oteng Desmond (CEO of COD Construction and Engineering Limited)

Desmond has over eight years of experience in the real estate industry. He has built a solid brand that has opened him up to the Diaspora market and helped most Ghanaians living abroad to buy their homes safely without any challenges.

He has strong communication and marketing skills which enables him to deal with all classes of people. His expertise transcends Ghana’s real estate market to Africa as a whole. He has dealt with reputable international companies like Deloitte, EY, PWC..etc

He won the Realtor of the Year in 2023 at the Africa Real Estate Conference & Expo, he was also awarded the Best Company in real estate sales & marketing at the Ghana Property Awards.

He was nominated as one of the best African entrepreneurs “AFRICA 100-2024” by the Pan African Youth leadership. He has won several awards both locally and internationally giving him the opportunity to connect with a lot of great minds across the globe. He is a YouTuber with an amazing YouTube channel, showing homes in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda & Dubai. He recently collaborated with one of the UK’s biggest Real Estate investors- Mr Samuel Leeds to give the Diaspora an in-depth overview of the real estate market in Ghana & Africa.

He has designed and built single-family homes in Accra, which sold out in the last quarter of 2023. Above all his years of experience and great expertise, he loves God and serves in the Holy Hill Assemblies of God.
