Three companies in the food, seasoning, and beverage sector have stressed the necessity of uniting Ghanaians through the consumption of local food.
Nestlé Ghana, Gold Coast Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, and Maggi jointly underscored how such initiatives allow them to engage directly with customers, improving their product and service delivery.
The Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager at Nestlé Ghana Deborah Kwablah explained the motivation behind their collaboration for the Founders’ Day edition of their fufu party in Accra.
“Celebrating the founders of Ghana also gives us a chance to honour our local cuisine, especially our cooking traditions. Maggi complements any Ghanaian dish, making this connection quite natural,” she said.
Kwablah emphasised that the initiative extends beyond profit-making, noting their commitment to partnering with Maggi on similar future events to engage more customers.
For his part, the General Manager of Gold Coast Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, Enoch Tsagali, stated, “Our goal is to promote fufu and foster networking among our customers. While profit is not our immediate focus, as a business, we do keep an eye on it.”
Meanwhile, the Category Manager for Maggi, Margherita Amon, highlighted the key features of the product and its widespread availability in households.
