Starlink is set to launch its operations in Ghana by the end of August 2024, following approval from the National Communications Authority (NCA).

This milestone marks a significant step forward in Ghana’s digital transformation journey.

NCA, in a statement on Thursday, August 22 noted that Starlink will be operating under the name Space X Starlink GH LTD.

The internet service will offer unparalleled high-speed internet services, leveraging its constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites.

While the services may come at a premium, with equipment costs ranging from $600 to $2,500 and monthly fees between $120 and $5,000, the impact on Ghana’s internet landscape is expected to be profound.

This cutting-edge technology enables faster internet speeds, positioning Starlink as a formidable player in the global internet market.
