Akua crowned winner of Miss Tourism Ghana 2024

The grand finale of the 2024 Miss Tourism Ghana beauty pageant took place at the National Theatre in Accra on Friday, September 20.

Eight contestants from various regions across Ghana competed for the coveted title. The lineup includes: Ese (Agbolosu Mawuse Abla) from the Eastern Region, Elvi (Emmanuella Owusuaa Wiredu) from the Volta Region, Nana (Lawrencia Ama Yeboah) from the Savannah

Region,  Dzifa (Deborah Dzifa Amezah) from the Greater Accra Region, Rica (Akoto Erica) from the Ahafo Region, Ama (Gloria Kwarteng) from the Northern Region, Akua (Portia Mensah) from the Upper East Region, and Kiss (Stephanie Owiredua Kissi) from the Western Region.

The event was a magnificent display of Ghana’s abundant tourism heritage and diverse cultural landscape.

As part of the judging process leading to the grand finale, the eight finalists participated in Talent Night, Culture Night, Read Ghana Night, and Fashion Night.

After the thrilling contest, Akua was crowned winner with Nana as the first runner-up and Kissi as the second runner-up.

The event, organized by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), was attended by former Miss Tourism Ghana contestants and dignitaries, including the Deputy Director of Domestic Marketing at the Ghana Tourism Authority, Kakra Kofi Atta Kusi, Chef Faila of Cook-a-thon fame and MP for Kpando Hon. Dela Sowah
