The Ghana Police Service on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, arrested one person in connection with a shooting incident at Bereku in the Central Region.
The suspect, whose name was given as, Nai Akwasi Lartey, was wielding a pump action gun, shot and injured one person during the Awubia Festival.
The victim, according to a police statement, was sent to the hospital for medical attention.
The pump action gun with some BB cartridges, the statement noted, has been retrieved from the suspect.
“Suspect Nai Akwasi Lartey is in Police custody assisting in the investigation.”
