Yaanom Multimedia, led by CEO Emmanuel Afunya, has teamed up with Renarda Joy to launch Bootstrap magazine, a pioneering online publication that combines compelling stories with captivating visuals.
The event, hosted at the Alisa Hotel, brought together industry professionals eager to witness the unveiling.
Speaking to the media, Emmanuel Afunya shared the vision behind Bootstrap.
“The idea of Bootstrap emerged from recognising the need for a platform where individuals could share insights and expertise, empowering young entrepreneurs and seasoned professionals alike. We aim to create a toolkit that serves as a reference guide, providing actionable advice and stories from experts across various fields, including medicine, law, and psychology.”
Afunya highlighted that the magazine’s mission extends beyond empowerment. It also addresses the cultural challenges black Americans and Africans face.
“After the Year of Return, many black Americans came to Ghana, only to face unexpected struggles. Despite being black, they’re perceived as foreigners, and we don’t make it easy for them to transition,” Afunya noted.
Bootstrap aims to bridge this gap by spotlighting shared experiences and fostering collaboration between black Americans and Africans.
“We want to show that black Americans have something valuable to offer, and we have something to learn from them. It’s about mutual understanding and collaboration,” Afunya added.
Bootstrap magazine’s goals include:
1. Empowering entrepreneurs and professionals
2. Fostering cultural understanding between black Americans and Africans
3. Providing a platform for experts to share insights
4. Addressing the unique challenges faced by black Americans in Ghana
With its innovative approach and focus on entrepreneurship, Bootstrap is set to make a significant impact on both the local and global stage.
