Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has stressed the need for a multifaceted approach to protect Ghana’s natural heritage, encompassing its forests, water bodies, and weather patterns.
John Agyekum Kufuor is also advocating for a united front against galamsey, citing its devastating impact on Ghana’s water bodies and the well-being of its citizens.
In an interview with Accra-based Angel FM with host Okatakyir Afrifa, Kufuor said, “We must find a solution to this menace that affects not only the environment but also the livelihoods of many Ghanaians. We need to work together to find a way to stop the destruction of our natural resources and ensure that our environment is protected for future generations.”
Organised Labour had scheduled to protest against galamsey.
