The Ghana Highways Authority (GHA) has issued a public notice regarding upcoming maintenance on the Atomic Bridge.

Beginning Thursday, October 3, 2024, the GHA will commence repair work on the bridge’s expansion joints.

The project is set to last until Tuesday, October 22, 2024, and aims to reinforce the structural integrity of the bridge while enhancing safety for commuters.

Motorists using the route are advised to adhere to the instructions of traffic management teams positioned at the site and to exercise caution as the repairs progress.

“As a result, there would be traffic interruptions. Motorists are advised to adhere to the traffic management systems to be put in place by the team of engineers from our bridge Maintenance Unit of the Ghana Highway Authority as they work on the overpass.

“Motorists are also advised to use alternative routes if possible. Our team of engineers will start work on Thursday the 3rd of October, 2024 and end on Tuesday, the 22nd of October 2024 from 08:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m. daily. For updates or further information, please contact the Public Affairs Division of the Ghana Highway Authority,” the authority noted.
