I’m not in bed with NDC nor NPP – CPP’s flagbearer

Madam Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah, the Presidential Candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), has firmly denied allegations suggesting that she or the CPP leadership is supporting either the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or the National Democratic Congress (NDC), two of Ghana’s major political parties.

Recent reports had suggested that the CPP’s leadership was backing one of the two dominant parties.

However, in an interview on Channel One TV‘s Face to Face, Madam Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah clarified that she supports neither the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) nor the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“There’s an allegation that I’m in bed with NDC as well, NDC and NPP is Ghana. I’m in bed with myself. That’s what I enjoy because I like reading and I want to listen to good music and don’t even want to be bothered by anybody,” she told host Umaru Sanda Amadu on Tuesday, October 8.
