Organizers of the Maiden Ghana CEO Presidential Manifesto Gala Dinner have announced that the summit, slated for November 7, will function as a platform to hold governments accountable for their business policies.
The event will bring together presidential candidates from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for a dialogue with CEOs, aimed at integrating their expertise into national business strategies.
The candidates will also be required to sign a social contract, demonstrating their commitment to the business community.
Speaking at the launch of the Presidential Manifesto Gala Dinner in Accra, Moses Baiden Jnr, CEO of Margins Group, emphasized that the event will serve as a vital opportunity to evaluate the business plans of the presidential candidates.
“The strategic objective is to have a permanent advisory relationship between the businesses and the government and to have the government consult businesses on policy formulation and implementation.
“It is a call of action by businesses to hold governments to a contract, not just manifestos.
“It is a look at the manifestos of the two main political parties and the business element of it to act as a pressure group to ensure that these business elements are manifested and new promotions and innovations by entrepreneurs in dialogue with governments are not just rhetoric but actually are implemented.”
