Nollywood star Bimbo Akintola has opened up about her decision to remain unmarried despite societal pressures.
In a conversation with colleague, Emmanuel Ehumadu (Labista), Bimbo Akintola shared her personal experiences and views on love, relationships, and marriage.
According to her the one she loved was dead and hadn’t seen a replacement for him yet.
When asked about her plans to tie the knot again, the celebrated Nollywood actress referenced her past heartbreaks, stating that they have shaped her perspective on commitment.
She emphasised her reluctance to enter marriage with someone not fully invested in lifelong vows.
She expressed disappointment in how marriage is often approached today, citing many couples’ inability to uphold commitments.
According to her, she remains uninterested in making a “forever” commitment to someone not equally invested. She then affirmed her belief in marriage as a beautiful, sacred union but expressed disillusionment with its modern approach.
