The Ghana Police Service has commenced an investigation into the accident that occurred over the weekend at East Legon in Accra, leading to the death of two persons.

“Preliminary Police investigation indicates that the suspect driver, identified as Salifu Amoako, rammed his vehicle into another vehicle on Dzanie Ashie Street at East Legon.

“Both vehicles caught fire and burnt beyond recognition,” the police added in a statement issued on Monday.

It said the suspect driver and other surviving victims were currently receiving medical attention.

“Meanwhile, one of the surviving victims has since been treated and discharged, while the bodies of the deceased victims have been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy,” it added.
