The University of Ghana, Legon, has announced that the 2024/2025 academic year will begin on Thursday, October 31, 2024, with lectures starting on Monday, November 4, 2024.
The university postponed the start of the academic year due to a strike by the University Teachers Association of Ghana and other teacher unions.
In a statement dated Tuesday, October 29, and signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Emelia Agyei-Mensah, the university indicated that details of the academic year are included in the attached calendar for undergraduate students.
It also mentioned that calendars for other categories of students will be released soon and will follow a similar schedule.
“We can now announce that the 2024/2025 academic year will commence on Thursday, 31st October 2024, with lectures starting on Monday, 4th November 2024.”
