The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that it will conclude its nationwide campaign activities with a grand rally on December 5, 2024.
The event, dubbed the Possibilities Victory Rally, will be held at the UG Sports Directorate Park, opposite the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.
In a statement issued on November 30, 2024, the National Organiser of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, extended an invitation to party members, supporters, and the general public to participate in what he described as “a historic programme, which will be carried live on all media platforms.”
The rally is expected to bring together the party’s leadership and key figures, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, NPP running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, National Chairman Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim, and General Secretary Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong.
A Competitive Finale
Coincidentally, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has also scheduled its final rally for December 5, creating a high-stakes climax to the campaign season as both major political parties seek to energize their bases and sway undecided voters.
The NPP’s rally is expected to showcase its achievements over the past years and reinforce its vision for Ghana under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia.
Meanwhile, the NDC, led by flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, is anticipated to highlight its own plans for governance and critique the ruling party’s record.
With just days to the December 7 polls, both rallies will serve as a platform for the parties to make their final pitches to the electorate in what is shaping up to be one of Ghana’s most closely contested elections.
