Celebrated  Ghanaian rapper Maradona Yeboah Adjei better known as Guru has expressed a strong desire to work with the United Nations (UN).

Sharing his evolving career interests, Guru explained that his passion for serving humanity has led him to explore opportunities in global development.

He acknowledged that politics was never part of his original plans, but his engagement in student politics helped him gain a better understanding of governance and public service.

However, his ultimate ambition is not to work in a politically charged environment; instead, he aims to contribute meaningfully to international progress through the United Nations.

Guru cited former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan as a significant inspiration, stating his intention to continue Annan’s legacy by making an impact not only in Ghana but globally.

The ‘Pooley’ rapper stressed that his passion outside of music is deeply rooted in helping others, and he believes the UN offers the perfect platform to fulfil this vision.

He expressed his hope to assist the UN in achieving its core mandates of maintaining international peace and security, fostering friendly relations among nations, promoting international cooperation, and coordinating the actions of member states.

Guru currently serves as the president of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at the University of Ghana.
