The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Amasaman Constituency, Sedem Afenyo, has expressed confidence in his chances of overturning the 3,000-vote margin that secured the seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 elections.

Speaking during an interview on The Community Forum on Channel One TV on Monday, November 18, Afenyo declared, “We will overturn the 3,000 margin. I cannot say by how much, but we will overturn the margin and win the seat.”

He urged constituents to evaluate their quality of life under the current administration and make a decisive choice for the NDC in the December 7 elections. “Residents must pay attention to their lives and vote wisely,” he emphasized.

Afenyo attributed his optimism to his impactful work in the constituency. He highlighted initiatives such as community development projects, youth empowerment programmes, and advocating for better healthcare and education resources.

The NDC candidate also pointed out challenges faced by residents under the NPP’s tenure, including deteriorating infrastructure, rising unemployment, and the lack of adequate social amenities. He promised to prioritize these areas if elected.

Afenyo revealed that his campaign strategy is heavily focused on grassroots mobilization. His team has been organizing door-to-door engagements to ensure direct interaction with voters.

As the December 7 elections draw closer, all eyes will be on Amasaman to see if Afenyo can deliver on his promise to overturn the 3,000-vote margin and wrestle the seat from the NPP.
