Prof. Baffour Agyemang-Duah, a Governance and Democracy Analyst, has strongly criticised American preachers who supported Donald Trump’s presidential bid for the second time.
He criticized American evangelicals for condoning Trump’s questionable character, arguing that their actions reveal inherent hypocrisy.
During an interview with Bernard Avle on The Point of View on Channel One TV, Prof. Agyemang-Duah asserted that Americans who preach against social vices and poor character should have rejected Trump.
“I’m sure If it wasn’t Donald Trump [and] if I had been a Democrat, with that kind of record, there’s no way Americans would have voted.
“Because you see, here, we’re talking about the dominance of evangelicals who claimed to be preaching the Bible, and the Bible speaks against all these traits and character and yet, they all supported him.
“So, there’s an inherent hypocrisy in those people who claim to be pastors or whatever. That’s the reality.”
