Philip Fiifi Buckman, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, has secured a decisive victory in the Kwesimintsim Constituency. He garnered 15,927 votes, representing 50.21% of the total votes cast.
His closest competitor, Dr. Prince Hamidu Armah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), received 13,317 votes, amounting to 41.98%. Joseph Mensah of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) trailed with 1,833 votes.
Lambussie Constituency: Prof. Titus Beyuo Unseats Incumbent MP
In the Lambussie Constituency of the Upper West Region, Professor Titus Kofi Beyuo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate and former General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), emerged victorious in a hotly contested race.
Prof. Beyuo achieved a landmark win by unseating the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, Bright Bakye Yelviel Baligi. He polled an impressive 13,551 votes.
Bright Bakye Yelviel Baligi, on the other hand, managed to secure only 6,079 votes, marking a significant shift in the political dynamics of the constituency.
