#GhanaPolls2024: Police arrest EC official in Kintampo South over alleged ballot paper irregularities

An official of the Electoral Commission in Kintampo South in the Bono East Region, has been arrested by the police for electoral offences in the ongoing 2024 general election.

The suspect, Dery Joseph, is under investigation for issuing approximately 15 ballot papers to voters that omitted the first presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This was contained in a statement by the Police.

The incident occurred at the Ampesika Bayere polling station.
