Parliament’s Appointments Committee will today, Thursday, January 23, 2025, vet the ministerial nominees for the Northern, Oti, and Eastern Regions, following their nomination by President John Dramani Mahama.
The nominees are:
- Ali Adolf G. John – Minister-Designate for the Northern Region
- John Kwadwo Gyapong – Minister-Designate for the Oti Region
- James Gunu – Minister-Designate for the Volta Region
- Rita Akosua Awatey – Minister-Designate for the Eastern Region
The vetting process is part of Parliament’s responsibility to evaluate and approve presidential appointees for ministerial and regional ministerial roles.
The Committee will assess the nominees’ qualifications, experience, and vision to determine their suitability for the roles and alignment with the government’s development agenda.
