Promoting Health and Diabetes Awareness
Beyond the physical infrastructure, the Kofi Asimenu Foundation is committed to a broader mission of creating awareness about diabetes, a disease that profoundly impacted the life of Ernest Kofi Asimenu. As part of the foundation’s initiatives, it aims to educate communities about the importance of early diagnosis, healthy living, and support for individuals and families affected by diabetes. The foundation believes that facilities such as the multipurpose court can also serve as centres for promoting physical fitness, a key component in managing and preventing diabetes.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Ernest Kafui Asimenu stated: “This court is not just a sports facility; it is a call to action. It reminds us of the importance of staying active, fostering community spirit, and addressing health challenges like diabetes that affect so many lives. Through awareness campaigns and community engagement, the foundation will continue to honour my father’s legacy by advocating for healthier lifestyles.”

The commissioning ceremony also featured exhibition matches in volleyball, basketball, and badminton, showcasing the court’s versatility and providing a glimpse of its potential to foster community bonding and talent development.
A Tribute to Legacy
The foundation also announced plans for future community-centred projects aimed at uplifting lives, fostering unity, and empowering individuals, particularly in the areas of health, education, and sports development.
