Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the Director of Elections and Information Technology for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asserted that the administration of John Dramani Mahama and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang represents a reinstatement of dignity to the office of the presidency.

Speaking ahead of the inauguration of the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Omane Boamah, stated, “I believe John Mahama and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s presidency signals a restoration of dignity and integrity to the presidency. And that is where the 24-hour will be activated from.”

Dr Omane Boamah also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the 24-Hour Economy Policy, a key pillar in its agenda to revitalize Ghana’s economy. He highlighted this initiative as a priority for the new government.

President-elect Mahama has unveiled a strategic team to deliver on his administration’s promises, including key appointments such as Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff and Augustus Goosie Tanoh, a distinguished economist and statesman, as the lead architect of the 24-Hour Economy policy.

In an interview with Channel One TV, Dr. Omane Boamah outlined the administration’s vision to transform Ghana’s economy into a vibrant, round-the-clock system that maximizes productivity, creates jobs, and enhances service delivery across various sectors.

“Goosie Tanoh is a leader with a razor-sharp mind and impeccable credibility,” Dr. Boamah said, expressing confidence in Tanoh’s ability to oversee the implementation of the ambitious policy. “His expertise will ensure the success of this transformative initiative.”

“Anybody who knows him [Goosie Tanoh] will know that he has a razor-sharp mind. He has impeccable credibility, and he is the person who is going to be in charge I believe that John Mahama and Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman in the presidency signals a restoration of dignity and integrity to the presidency and that is where the 24-hour economy will be activated from,” he stated.
