Margaret Ansei has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA).

Margaret Ansei, popularly known as Magoo, is a distinguished public servant with extensive experience in governance and development. She is a former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suhum in the Eastern Region.

Her appointment, which took effect on January 27, 2025, reflects the government’s trust in her ability to spearhead the GEA’s efforts to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.

As Acting CEO, Ms. Ansei is expected to continue the GEA’s work of empowering small businesses through innovative initiatives, capacity-building programs, and financial support to stimulate economic growth and create employment opportunities.

The Ghana Enterprises Agency is mandated to promote and develop MSMEs, which form the backbone of Ghana’s economy.

Margaret Ansei’s extensive experience in local governance and community development positions her well to lead the agency in fulfilling its mission of fostering entrepreneurship and driving the growth of small businesses nationwide.
